yesterday, a couple of friends of mine who don't have houses gave me £10's worth of stuffed cook-from-frozen turkey^[1] from iceland, simply because they don't have any means of cooking it. made me think again about how generous I actually am - a lot less than I think!_{1. unfortunately for me, I was on my way home to cook a meal for a vegetarian friend. so I cooked and ate it after she'd gone}
